Makes as much sense as charging someone for a failed suicide attempt as attempted murder. If she were charged with the distribution of nude photos to other minors, would it matter if the photos were of her or anyone else? But she was charged with TAKING nude photos of a minor, who happened to be herself. Also she was charged with possession of criminal tools. Now a cell phone is a criminal tool. Who knew!
