Myron found a little kitten in the drop box of the Spencer Public Library in 1988 and the appropriately named Dewey Readmore Books lived there until his death in December 2006. Along the way the cat entertained and united a cliquish library staff, lifted the spirits of a struggling small town, helped Myron through personal traumas, and calmed everyone from children with disabilities to uptight businessmen reading the Wall Street Journal.
