A Roosevelt High School football coach who was allegedly involved in a sideline fight at a game Tuesday will not return to his position as a chemistry teacher.
McCracken said Swingert became angry after a play resulted in an interception at a Tuesday night game at Hoover High School.
Swingert reportedly began screaming at McCracken and acted like he was going to hit McCracken, a police report said.
When McCracken responded with profanity, Swingert allegedly choked him.
Swingert denied choking McCracken when asked by police but said he had to put one hand on McCracken's chest and the other on his neck to push him away.
