An Egyptian cleric feels that there is an issue with unrelated men and women being alone together in a work environment. Islamic law considers a wet-nurse as a maternal surrogate. Putting the two together, he issued a religious ruling (fatwa) stating that if the man breast-feeds from his co-worker, it would then be proper for them to be alone together at work.

Somehow I don't think that custom would have the same effect here in the United States.

This is what's wrong with running society according to religious dictates. The problem is that this ruling makes complete sense according to a specific interpretation of Islamic scriptures.

Definitely sounds like fun, but, if you go over to the article you'll find that the cleric who issued that fatwa was disciplined for it by his superiors.
