Sunday at a base near the city of Carcassonne in southwestern France an army Sergeant open fire on a crowd of hundreds of visitors during a training exercise. 17 people were reported injured including a 3 year old boy and a 6 year old girl when the Sergeant apparently opened fire with live ammo rather than the intended blanks.
