Iowa woman had a bat in her house one night, but thought no more about it. In the morning, she sat down to some fresh coffee. When she cleaned the pot, she found that the bat had gotten into the filter. She's started rabies treatment as the coffee brewing cycle has damaged the bat's brain so it cannot be determined if the bat had rabies.

Can you catch rabies from drinking the coffee, if the coffee got hot enough to cook the bat enough to destroy the disease in it's body?
