Running club members thought they were smart by marking their path with flour. Police weren't amused & some members are now being charged with a felony.

Hashing has been around since 1937. Flour is an environmentally safe way to set a course whether on roads or cross country. I've been hashing for about 15 years. After 9/11 we had an incident when people thought that handfuls of flour must be anthrax. We had the fire dept, police, FBI etc following us and gathering information. Fortunately, a little common sense prevailed, but it looks like that common sense didn't make it to the east coast.

"I saw people not wearing hazard suits or masks drawing arrows on the ground during daylight." Morons.
