Oreon State Police say 58-year-old William Bjorkquist, of Lakeside, Ore., was arrested for DUII, while riding a tricycle.

Lieutenant Steve Smartt says an officer patrolling Tenmile Lakes County Park came upon Bjorkquist and a group of friends Friday afternoon. Bjorkquist apparently told the officer he planned to ride home on his adult-sized tricycle. The officer advised against it, citing that Bjorkquist was visibly impaired. Bjorkquist and his friends agreed to push the trike home, instead.

A short while later, the officer observed Bjorkquist riding his tricycle on the wrong side of the road. He then rolled through a stop sign, turned and continued riding in the wrong lane of another street. The officer pulled him over.

Bjorkquist failed his field sobriety tests and was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants.
