A testing manager at the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS), which is responsible for assuring that all condoms produced in the country conform to World Health Organisation standards, had accepted money from the manufacturer in return for certifying defective condoms. This risks the lives of millions of South Africans, as people become suspicious of the government's free condoms.
