CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Gov. Sarah Palin's first visit to Iowa as a vice-presidential candidate got off on the wrong foot when she made a gaffe that's the bain of all politicians visiting lots of different cities on the campaign trail.

Speaking in the eastern Iowa city of Cedar Rapids, Palin told the crowd, "Thank you so much Iowa. It is good to be here in Grand Rapids!"
